Treasure Dad for Father's Day

A few days ago I began listing my men's items.  It's stuff I carry and make all year round and that sell like hot cakes at farmer's markets in the area.  This is the first time I've put in on Etsy though.   Now Father's Day is only about a month away so it was perfect timing.  So I discovered that in about an 24 hour time span I was in four Father's Day treasuries.  I thought that was pretty good....

It was a hard decision for me to begin making men's bath and body products.  Most guys are perfectly happy with their Zest soap and Axe body wash.  To my surprise, it was the women buying it for their men....  They wanted to get them something different, something that wasn't mass produced.

So in honor of Fathers everywhere, I have posted the treasuries I've been in so far for you to see the incredible gifts you can get Dad that you just can't get anywhere else.

WVIZ/PBS Auction Beginning May 19th

WVIZ has been a shining star growing up.  For some of us it's better know as Channel 25 (back in the good ol' days).  My kids have also grown up watching it.  Help keep local public broadcasting and quality programming alive.  I've been lucky enough to participate in the Cleveland Handmade basket that is being auctioned off.  Auctioning begins on May 19th.  Keep local programming and businesses strong.

Mother's Day 2011

Brodie and I made handmade stepping stones for my mom and Matt's mom for Mother's Day.  We decided not to break them up because we liked the pictures better intact.

This one is for Matt's mom because she's Italian.

This one is for my mom because she's not Italian.  :)

I have a friend, Rochelle, who makes cards, sells supplies and teaches classes for a living.  Her shop is at Shore Cultural Centre in Euclid, so if you have a chance stop on by to pick up some of her handmade cards and more.

Her prices are super reasonable.  I only paid about $7.00 for all three cards.  If you look how much detail are involved, that's an awesome price.

The butterfly is an iris folded card, all hand folded.  It's simply beautiful.

You can find Rochelle on her Facebook page, and be sure to become a fan!!
She also has an Etsy shop too!!

I've been trying to get her to post more of her cards on Etsy.  Maybe this blog post will help.  :)

Pretty Paper

I've been working on a new Etsy shop lately.  It looks pretty boring because all I did was use the pics that I had in our old Etsy shop.

So I decided to go shopping.  I'm not much of a scrapbooker but I think I found some cute finds at Michaels.  Plus each sheet was only 25 cents each.

I think I'm going to redo my old pics and spice them up a bit.  Maybe before I do that I'll incorporate my pretty new finds into new product pics.

I'm having a hard time deciding on which one I like the best.  I love bright colors, but on the other hand, I like subtle sophistication as well.

In the meantime, check out the new Etsy and check back often to see how my progress is coming along.

Our New Store

So we've been talking about it for a couple of years and now it's all coming together.  Myself, Matt and our friend Chris are taking the plunge.  This spring we are going to be bringing some Crafty Goodness to Lakewood.
Look for more details in the next couple of months.  In the meantime you can check out http://www.craftygoodnesscleveland.com/ & www.facebook.com/craftygoodnesscleveland for updates as they happen.
